In the painting unit, students are taught the art of applying colors on canvas or any other materials/surface which is known as paintings. In the painting unit, students learn expression of ideas and emotions with the creation of certain aesthetic qualities, in a two-dimensional visual language. The element of this language includes shapes, lines, colours, tones, and textures which are used in creating paintings.
